Hemlock is virtually knot-free, giving every sauna a very elegant ambiance.
Typical for Hemlock are mineral streaks (brown or light gray) and brownish bark inclusions.
The color is relatively uniformly light brownish.

Due to its low thermal conductivity, it is very often used in sauna construction.

B-Grade*

*For B-grade, we always recommend buying at least 10%-15% more wood than actually needed. This is a safety measure to ensure that you ultimately have enough usable and well-preserved wood for your sauna construction.

Because B-grade also includes wood with knots and defective wood.

*When calculating for your sauna construction, please note that for the board surface, the wood will be 10 mm smaller when installed (due to tongue and groove).
This is important to mention so that you don't run into the problem of having too little sauna wood during installation.

The stated length is to be understood as a minimum length. The actual measurement may differ.

Wood is a natural product:

Deviations in structure and color, mineral streaks, growth-related surface and color differences are no reason for complaint with a natural product like wood, but rather emphasize its natural authenticity and individuality.

Important note regarding B-grade:

With B-grade, defective wood must be expected, e.g., with individual knots, cracks, and chipped areas, which is why we advise you to calculate 10-15% more wood.
