Description:

Nordic spruce has always been used for sauna construction. The intensely spicy scent of spruce wood fills the sauna room and creates a pleasant atmosphere.
Due to its robustness, it is suitable for both interior and exterior cladding of saunas and other rooms.

Grading regulations for planed spruce timber:

Planed timber is produced according to grades A; B; Hbf and reserves. The quality criteria for profile wood are laid down in the DIN and DIN EN standards. These criteria always apply to the installed surface.

The A-grade planed spruce timber must be dry planed, dimensionally stable and planed to fit, but may occasionally show minor planing defects.

Permitted are:

black dot knots, sound firmly grown knots, occasional small missing, damaged and small loose occasional edge knots, provided the coverage is not affected.
Occasional small resin pockets and bark inclusions, hairline cracks and end cracks. Deformations, provided that tongue and groove show a perfect connection over the entire length.

The aforementioned wood defects, wood-typical characteristics, and end and surface cracks may be present and must be accepted without reservation.

The grading regulations apply to 95% of the batch, meaning that an A-grade may contain 5% B-grade with lower, but functionally appropriate quality. This must be tolerated.

Wood is a natural product and may show bark and mineral inclusions as well as slight color differences, etc. The occurrence of its natural properties and characteristics cannot always be avoided even with the most careful sorting. Wood-typical properties do not represent defects and do not negatively affect the quality of the goods. These must be tolerated and do not constitute grounds for complaint.

Due to the covering area (10 mm tongue & groove), color variations, wood-typical characteristics, and for safety regarding occasional possible wood defects, we recommend that you plan for at least 5% - 10% more material.
